I'm FREEEEE!

LOL! Today DH and I are getting away from the kids for the first time ever, to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We're getting a hotel room in the city and going to see The Drowsy Chaperone tonight, and maybe we'll go stand in line at TKTS on Saturday and try to see a matinee that day too. Lots of eating, sleeping, and being able to finish a sentence without being interrupted by a juice request. Yay. I bought a pretty new dress to wear, and DH got me the most beautiful necklace to wear with it. I got him a nice watch. And the weekend away is our gift to each other, of course. Send all your best vibes over toward DH's mom, who will be keeping the hooligans in line while we're away. Oh, and send some to me while you're at it...knowing me, I'll have scenes from CSI and Law & Order replaying in my head while I worry about what awful things could happen while we're gone. Stupid, I know.

I hope to have a new Passover kit finished up today before we leave, but I'm cutting it close. I really like the work I've done on it and I don't want to rush the finishing touches. So it may be ready after we get back. Any customer service issues, please email me (my email is in the TOU file of all my products) and I'll get back to you by Monday.

Oh, and while you're sending out warm wishes, please send a pile over to Theresa and Ernie at NDISB. Their site host was switching servers and managed to wipe out not only the existing site, but the site backup as well. They're looking at a major disaster unless a miracle happens. So if you can't get into the Natural Desigsns site, that's why. Ugh.

Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you Monday, all refreshed and relaxed. :)

I'm still here, got a new one for ya

Sorry I haven't been a very good blogger this week. Somehow after doing the Lucky kit and the shamrock alphas, I needed a break. But I have a lot of good ideas floating around in my head and I was able to translate one of them into a product for you this week. Check out my new "Mod Border Stickers" below. They're SO cool because instead of a white border, like you see on most stickers, these are white on black. So they look really awesome on teen layouts, retro style layouts, freestyle layouts, and more. You can customize them by coloring the white part in a solid color, in a gradient like I did for the photo shoot layout below, or even with a favorite paper.

They're just very chunky and fresh, and I'm really excited to offer them exclusively at my Elemental Scraps store. You can click the image to go straight there, if you like. They'll be normally priced at $3, but for the first week I've marked them down to two bucks. Not bad!

Two announcements

First, Elemental Scraps is having a storewide 40% off sale, so if you've been holding off on shopping you better head over there this weekend!

Second, I'm having a chat at Elemental Scraps tomorrow night, Friday, from 9 to 10 pm Eastern. There will be a free layered template and coupon (that you can use in conjunction with the sale!) for everyone who attends. In addition, one chatter will win my entire store! Everything that's there now, and everything I add until April 30th, could be yours. So please join us!

Corporate correspondence

I saw a funny letter to a maxi pad company this morning over at DST, and it got me thinking about some corporate letters that I've wanted to write for some time. One of them is similar to the joke I read. Here goes.

Dear Kotex,

Which of your product designers decided that putting real Velcro on your maxi pad wings would be a brilliant innovention? Clearly not one who's ever had to walk 15 blocks through midtown Manhattan with the velcro coming loose and rubbing a 2" raw wound into each of his inner thighs. I recommend you get on the treadmill with a Brillo pad in your shorts and give it a try.

Sincerely,
Chafed

Dear Target,

Why do you enclose your Cherokee boys' briefs in ziptop packaging? Surely you don't expect me to remove the underwear, then use the bag to store my dinner leftovers?

Sincerely,
Grossed Out

You could win a RAK from me!

This weekend at Digi Shop Talk, people have been giving little presents to each other left and right. It's called "RAK," or Random Acts of Kindness, and it's a lot of fun, and I'd like to hand out some RAKs on a sunny Monday morning too.

Visit this thread at DST to see how to win. I'll be giving away a TON of $5 coupons to my new store at Elemental Scraps, five $10 coupons to my store at Natural Designs, and one $25 gift certificate to whichever of my stores you choose. All you have to do is send me a PM! So please help me fill up my PM box and maybe you'll get a RAK of your very own!

Feel Lucky? Three new products, one of them can be yours FREE!

It's time for some new products! And they're very fitting for the season. With a St. Patrick's feel, these products will be great for theme layouts but also versatile for those "I'm lucky to have you in my life" layouts too, for kids or sweethearts (or even pets!). Also, they're great for greeting cards and thank you notes. All products are available in both my stores---Elemental Scraps and Natural Designs.

Also, from now until March 17 you can get the Lucky pin set for FREE if you purchase the Lucky You page kit. At ES the discount will be taken automatically when you have both products in your cart. At Natural Designs, simply put both products in your cart and enter this coupon code: CS-8a78627a1b

Lucky You! It's a Freebie!

I'm working on a very cute kit called "Lucky You!" that has a little bit of a St. Patrick's Day theme...greens and pale yellows and some sophisticated elements. It will probably end up a mini kit, but that depends on how inspired I get. Just for being a blog reader, I'd like to offer you one of the elements--a journaling block--for free. I hope you'll like it enough to pick up the full kit when it's available in a few days. Click the image to begin the download, and as always I would love for you to leave me a comment if you do take the freebie. Blogger won't allow me to email you back, but I will really appreciate it.

SORRY, LINK EXPIRED! Please see post above to find out how you can purchase the kit that contains this journaling tag. :)

Back from Disney and SO happy to be home!

Wow, guys, we had SUCH a fun trip to Disney. I still haven't downloaded all the photos from my camera yet, but we did have several photos made by the roving photographers around the parks and you can see them HERE if you want. Please ignore the shot of my big ol' butt (thank you SO much Mr. Roving Photographer).

While there, my daughter got caught up in the frenzy of Disney pin trading. We all received some exclusive pins and lanyards as a surprise gift while we were waiting to ride "Soarin" and that was a big thrill. We bought some less expensive pins for her to trade with vendors. I heard someone mention that several of the vendors will only trade with children, and not adults, and I thought that was nice. They should have the thrill, I think. DD turned eight while we were there and got treated like a total princes...although she's not a big princess fan. She was MUCH more interested in Chip and Dale. They are her ABSOLUTE favorites. So of course, what did I do today? Went onto eBay (had to start a whole new profile because I can't change my email address from the move...been trying for TWO years!) and bought her a set of Chip and Dale trading pins (see left). Aren't they cute?

Well I'm all inspired now thanks to lots of amazing things we saw in Florida, so I hope to have a few new products coming out this month. Keep your eyes peeled!
