Heads up!

Just so you know, as soon as the Amazing Digiscrapping Race is over, I'm going to be on the lookout for some guest creative team members. Right now I'm happy with the number of team members I have, but who knows? If someone comes along who is interested and does great work and has a lot of enthusiasm, it could lead to a full-time gig. So keep an eye out for my call in mid-February. I'll probably call for three people--March, April, and May gigs, and maybe pull from the entries for the next three months. Or something like that, lol. Interested in a lot of fun with a small time commitment? Be on the lookout for my call!

Just testing

I managed to get an ad in the Calendar section of Digi Shop Talk for February. Just testing it here.

Pin Me, Baby!

Oh man, I'm so excited to release these three new alphas today. They are SO CUTE!!! I worked with all three sets to make sample layouts for the previews, and I just LOVE them! If you like making those layouts with lots of little bitsies and piecies scrunched up together, you cannot miss these.

Here we go.

First is the Pin Me! Classic set. Aged metal, clean chipboard, cool font. So incredibly versatile. Click the preview to visit it in the store.

Here's the layout I made with it.

Second, I made the Pin Me! Romantic alpha set. Sweet, pinkish, soft gold. Love love love.

And another pretty little layout.

And lastly, the Pin Me! Valentine set, perfect for funky love pages. Yeah, baby.

Plus a cuddly layout.

Now, if you use Photoshop or Elements, you are in EXTRA SUPER DUPER good luck, because each of these sets comes with my incredibly popular "Easy Pin Action" for both PS and PSE. By using this action, you can quickly and simply create the effect of the pin piercing through your background, just as you see in the previews above! There are clear and detailed instructions included, showing you how to install the action/effect and how to use it once it's loaded up into your program. Even better, this action/effect works beautifully for paper clips and buckles too!

And until Sunday, January 28, all three sets are on sale for 25% off! I hope you'll enjoy playing with them as much as I did. :)

You can still get the free sample (the C from the Valentine alpha) in the post directly below this one. Try it out! You'll love it!

PS, I nearly forgot...how do you like my new logo? :P

Sneak peek!

I have a couple of new products coming out later this week, and they're just so cute you could eat em with a spoon. They're called Pin Me! Alphas, and they're just right for your upcoming Valentine pages (or if you're like me, Valentines pages from 2006!). They'll be in the store on Thursday most likely, but YOU my lovely blog readers get to see them ahead of time. There will be three sets--Pin Me! Alpha, Pin Me! Romantic, and Pin Me! Valentine. There's one from each set in the sample below.

Now, the pins will come whole, not cut like you see above. However, bundled into each set is a copy of my Easy Pin Action that will allow you to create the effect of having the pin piercing the background. BONUS!!!

Would you like to try one out? I'm making available a copy of the Valentine C pin (the last one on the right in the picture above) so you can see how it looks for yourself. The pin action and a nice drop shadow have already been applied; all you have to do is plop it onto a background and see how you like it. I hope you do! Download it here:

I love to lift!

I always enjoy a good scraplift, and Pachimac's Lifts with a Twist blog is a fun place to get inspired and rewarded too! I lifted a layout by Olive Juice that was just too beautiful for words, but even though I can't live up to her talent I was definitely inspired. The three-photo format was perfect for this series of photos I took on the third night of Hanukkah. My kids and my niece got to light the candles on the menorah that night, and they felt very special. The kit I used is one of my own, The Complete Hanukkah Scrapbooking Kit, and I used one of Jen Caputo's shape sketches from The Digi Shoppe to create the diamond border.

Final two days!

Today and tomorrow are the final days for my introductory sale on Each New Day and its companion album. You can see it two posts below. After Friday it's back to full price, so don't miss it! :)

In other news, I've begun eating low carb again. DH had to do it for his cardiac rehabilitation diet, so I'm doing it too in support. It's going very well, no cheats in four days (big whoop, I know, but I'm proud). The only sweets I have in the house are things the kids like and we don't, so that helps. We're going to attempt to have Chinese takeout for dinner tonight, see how that goes. No rice or dumplings. I think it will be fine. Actually, I had decided before we started that I was going to eat whatever I wanted while DH was at work, but while in the store shopping for food I figured I might as well jump in with both feet. Not like I don't need it! And I'm glad I did now. I'm thinking of going back and re-reading my "Curves" book because it has a very similar plan to what the dietician recommended. Anyway, wish me luck. :)

So nice to have you all visit

I'm not sure where the link to my blog was posted to make it so popular all of a sudden, but I just want to say thank you to everyone who is visiting! I'd love it if you'd add me to your bloglines or other blog updates notification, and come back and visit me again!

Please remember that I have a very nice selection of kits for sale in my store at Natural Designs in Scrapbooking (link is over there to the right). For some of my kits I offer a free sampler pack with a paper or two and a few elements, enough that you can test drive the kit and see for yourself how high my design standards are. So be sure to check those out when you can. In most samplers you'll also find a coupon for the full sized kit, so take advantage of that if you like what you see.

Also, I have some very versatile low-priced elements that are a lot of fun to play with, such as my Page Bracelets, Page Bracelets 2 (hearts and gems) and my Frameworks Classic, which is a 12" wavy divided frame that you can put on any page and plop your photos in just like a template. Don't miss those!

If you're looking for the Not Furry But Fun giveaway, it's two posts below. It's going to go extinct on Sunday, so snag it now!

New Kit and Album!

I'm very excited to present my two newest creations: the Each New Day mini kit and the Each New Day Journal Album. I'm just in love with the color scheme and I hope you'll enjoy it too. :) The mini kit will be given away to Amazing Digiscrapping Racer teams who complete the first challenge (to be posted at NDISB tomorrow). But if you're not a racer, you might be interested to know that until January 12 both products will be on sale for 25% off!

The kit is gently textured, slightly grungy, and very realistic. The album would be a great place to scrapbook your 2007 resolutions, a weight loss journey, the road to financial freedom, or any other goal you are working to achieve.

Click the images below if you would like to go to the store and see closeup details and sample layouts, as well as read more about the products. Enjoy!!

And if you're looking for the free unfurry pets kit, please scroll down to the next post. :)
