Holy macaroni

I'm just amazed at how wonderful the response was to my Sunday Mist kit! Thank you everyone who visited and downloaded it, and especially to those who took the time to leave me a nice note. You made my day. Please, please do toss me a note with a link if you make anything with it. I really want to leave you nice comments in your galleries. :) Sadly though, I've taken down those seemingly infinite links because the Sunday Mist kit is now available in the store at Natural Designs in Scrapbooking. In fact, it's the ONLY thing I have in the store at the moment because it took me all day to figure out how to upload files to Zen cart. But after making a lot of mistakes I think I have the hang of it, and my store will be much fuller tomorrow once Ben is off to preschool. :) And while the regular price for kits there is $5.99, I've put the Sunday Mist kit on sale for $3.00 until June 1. BIG GIANT HUMONGOUS NEWS! for me anyhow

I've made the decision to move my designs over to a new store, not new to many of you I'm sure. From here on out you can find me and my products at Natural Designs in Scrapbooking with Theresa Hernandez, Anita Stergiou, and their enormously talented team. It wasn't easy to leave Scrap2gether. They have been so supportive and kind in helping me get my designing business off the ground. But it was simply time for me to move on to other things, and I will miss all the sweet and creative people there very much. So a big thank you to Shir and Lilach! I'll beg your patience during this transition time, and I'll be sure to let you know when there's a green light for shopping again. If you're looking for the free kit, the links are in the post directly below this one. The links are lasting a LOT longer than I thought they would, but that's AWESOME because more of you can get hands-on experience with my work! I think you'll like it!! :) Once the kit is up at NDISB, I'll be taking the links down if they aren't already expired. I'm sure I'll probably be having a big "howdy new neighbors" sale, so if you miss the kit for free and want it, you'll be able to get it on sale. That's about it for today, but WHEW! It was a biggie. My new kit is up!

Now, I can hardly believe I'm about to do this but I put the kit up on yousendit for my creative team last week, and the links are about to expire. So I am going to give the links out for FREE until they expire. Yup, that's right, you can get this entire kit, over 45 mb of product, a $5.25 value, for NADA as long as it lasts. Here you go! BLOG CHALLENGE!!

I've been thinking, I'd like to reward everyone who visits my blog with the opportunity to win a free kit from me from time to time. Every couple of weeks (depending on my schedule, you know the crazy days of summer are nearly upon us) I'll be issuing a challenge to you. Everyone who completes the challenge by the end of the stated time frame will have their name entered into a drawing for a coupon to my store at Scrap2gether. Sound good? It is! And it's easy. For my first challenge, I'd like you to create a new layout with the theme of "treasure." (Please don't submit a layout you created previously.) You can do like I did and make a layout that shows how your family is your treasure (see one post below). Or you can do one about a treasured object or place. Or maybe the word "treasure" brings something completely different to your mind. It's completely up to you. Post your layout to your favorite gallery (or galleries) and post the link here as a comment. You can use absolutely any products you wish, not just mine. New layout

I don't usually use my own kits for some reason, but today I really wanted to use the Sunday Mist kit. So I created the layout you see below. I think I probably need to use my kits more often, just to make sure they're "user friendly" LOL! After all, some designs work great on a blank piece of paper but are hard to use on a layout! Thank you so much for all the nice comments about the kit. :)

I just couldn't wait!

I spent all night while DH watched the Mets game finishing up the new kit and putting together all the preview files. Here it is!!! I'd love to know what you think. It will probably go up in the store early next week, and of course I'll be sure to let you know just as soon as it does. I'm excited!!!

Oh my gosh!

I am so excited about my new kit! It doesn't have a name yet, but I am just in love with the colors, which were inspired by some china I saw in a Target ad recently. It's all done except the alpha, so please check back here in the next day or two to see the preview. I'll be giving away free kits at my next chat at Scrap2gether, and that will be on Monday, May 29 at 10 am Eastern. That's Memorial Day here in the States, so if you aren't off enjoying the weather I hope you'll join me for Bingo and prizes.

I just finished my layout for the third round of the Ultimate Digi Scrapper contest at Digiscrappin.biz. What a relief! Both the other layouts I did came pretty easily, but this one was much harder. Strange, too, because journaling is my favorite part of scrapping. I may have done well enough to squeak by one more round, but I doubt seriously I'll go any further than that. It's called "Camo Boy" and it's filled with primary shades of blue, green and red. Lots of fun papers and cool elements that will be great for little boy pages!
